Cleanse, Clear and Revitalise!

If you are out and about socialising, or providing your own home as a setting for celebrations this holiday season, you are going to need a few quick ways of replenishing your physical and energetic body.

Cleansing the body of Impurities quickly can be done with a quick juice drink made from Cucumber, Celery, Watermelon and Ginger. I love this because its very very FRESH and zingy tasting! Plus, the Cucumber and Watermelon will help the ol' kidneys out a bit which may be getting a bit of a workout if you're drinking alcohol or sugary, colour laden soft drinks too.

Revitalising your energy is as easy as using fresh Mint, Basil and Parsley. These beautiful herbs are high in Vitamin C which will encourage a healthy immune system, and they are also stimulating, so may help you if you've been driving a long way, in company of many people, or working hard being 'the host with the most'. I personally grab a handful of each of these herbs, rip them up and brew them into a strong herbal infusion with 2 cups of boiling water. Strained into a small shot glass or Chinese teacup, left to cool just a bit and sipped slowly, this brew can clear brainfog, and relieve any stress headaches brought on by noise or activity.

Clear your energy in a flash using Lemon or Lime and Water! If you need to 'get clear' quickly, take a half slice of fresh lemon or lime and bite the flesh out of it, knocking back a glass of water straight after. Then put a tiny amount of rock salt on your hand and lick it off. Repeat the whole thing at least three times and you will find you feel extremely refreshed and very awake. Lemon is very stimulating and Lime is used to relieve headaches too. Natural Salt can replenish minerals that are being lost through sweat and digestion.

The key thing in all of these is the hydration of the body. Giving the body back the water that it is using up to detoxify itself, will help you maintain a better level of energy...all round.

Happy Celebrating everyone :)
Blessings
