5 things to do before Feng Shui New Year 2016

Each new year is an opportunity to set out goals and plan for success. But what can you do to ensure your plans have the best possible energy to jump start your endeavours?

Flying Stars Feng Shui has been employed as a means of energy maintenance and manipulation for thousands of years. Following the Annual Influences using Flying Stars can help you avoid draining energy situations, and enjoy more of the easy and harmonious flow to life that we want.

Green Tara helps us observe our health and wellness in a better light.  A great influence to have in the Centre Palace this 2016 as a symbol of health, caring and compassion.   Improve your hygiene in all areas by detoxing and using non-toxic products for your daily routines. Using an abundance of fresh food and pure water will dramatically improve your overall health and wellbeing, and giving yourself proper self-improvement goals will heighten the energy of your mindset and spiritual connections.

In 2016 the Ruling Annual Influence is an Earth Element called Star 2. It is related to the Mother figure and is linked to the way we 'digest' life. It's energy is receptive, meaning that it considers what to take into itself, and yet it is also the Earth symbolism, so it is nurturing, relentless, strict and effortlessly kind. If you'd like to find out more about the Annual Influences I invite you to purchase the Annual Influences Guide 2016 from the website. It's packed full of helpful and easy to understand information about how to utilise Flying Stars Feng Shui in your everyday life for more peace, health and harmony.

However, here are five things you will need to know for this feng shui year:

The central area of your home needs to be de-cluttered, cleaned and have the highest possible energy instilled into it before February 8th. If there is anything broken or unsightly get it repaired or aesthetically fixed in order to invite in the beauty of Star 2 energy and not falter with health problems relating to the digestive system. Add Metal Element representations in colour, shape and sound. There are lots of ideas in the AIG 2016, but generally, bringing in metal sculptures or round metal bowl for decoration will help.
Add a Salt Water Cure to the central area of your home or business to clean the atmosphere and utilise a powerful elemental pairing to keep Star 2 at heel.
Play metallic sounding music to soothe the energy layer. Piano music, temple gongs, or beautiful chimes.
Remove Fire Element representations and do not have running water features in this area.

.:~:.

Clean the area outside the front of your home with meticulous care and attention before February 8th.
Buy a new doormat if yours is a little shabby. Add a handful of rock salt underneath your doormat to purify the area. Place a mantra for the year under the doormat as well to instill the area with high quality energy...something like, "Great happiness, health, protection and wealth enters this Home now" or "This Home is divinely protected and everyone who lives within its walls are cared for with Grace".

.:~:.

The direction to avoid facing when working for long periods or for important occassions is North. This is the Three Sha or Three Killings influence which can effectively drain your life of health, wealth and harmony very quickly, even if your 'feng shui' in the building is good...

.:~:.

The direction to avoid facing for very important occassions is WSW. This is the Grand Duke or Tai Sui influence which you must have your back to in order to receive it's support. Facing it means 'challenge' and can lead to problems occurring 'en-mass'. Do not 'break the ground' with earthworks or plumbing and drainage digging in the WSW or the opposite slice of the ENE as this can lead to big problems occurring. If you have to dig, place a metal wind chime to produce the Sound of Metal remedy, between the house or building and the digging taking place. If possible do not live in the house or work in the building while work is going on.

.:~:.

Add Metal Element to the Northeast this year to promote a smooth flow to Life and a good mindset. There is a great feng shui cure to place a clean metal bowl outside the area affected by the Star 5 influence (this year it is the NE) and fill it with clean water regularly. But if you can't do this because it is an inaccessible area of your property, or just not practical because of pets, then you can hang a metal wind chime in the area to produce the Sound of Metal cure, also potent and pleasing.

Available as a pdf download. Get your copy of the AIG 2016 and be ready for anything...

Enjoy a smooth flow of energy in all your endeavours by consciously reworking and revitalising the energy layers of your spaces regularly.

Blessings

Clear the way...

"Clear the way and let it come to you."

When energy is blocked it cannot find a path to follow, and it festers, re-hashing the layer of energy until it is spent. You've heard of 'Groundhog Day' yes? Or being 'stuck in a loop'? Recycling is great for metal, wood, plastic and paper...but not so much for you and your life's journey...

If you hear yourself saying phrases like,.."I really hate it when this happens" ..."Why is bad stuff always happening to me/us?"... "I can't see a way out of this situation"... "It feels as if the world is against me", or similar, then you are receiving a message loud and clear that your current life situation is in need of change.

Comfortable change, when attained, is a beautiful journey of discovery, achievement and enjoyment. The simple and often misunderstood act of 'change' is all about inviting in a new set of possibilities, opening yourself to new potentials by establishing a new grid of energy in your home, mind, heart, life and more.

When energy flow (qi flow) is nourished with easy, meandering avenues, it will naturally become creative, alive and dynamic.
The outer cycle of energy is normal, and natural, and nourishing...this is feng shui theory describing the flow of Qi.
The Elements represent a 'type of energy' not only the material form.

How do we apply this idea into everyday life?
Through our thought processes being given new and nourishing ways to solve problems, perceive issues and attain prowess. (meditation, self-improvement literature and courses)

Through our food and liquid intake we can drastically change our body's ability to process toxins and nourishment as well. We can change the energy layer of physical health within days if proper qi flow options are taken.

Through our involvement with social interactions and entertainment we can assist both thought and physical qi flow.

Through our intimate relationships we can heighten the spiritual heart connections we have with our beliefs and loved ones.

Through respecting our finances and observing with gratitude the current living conditions we are immersed in, we can build a new sense of stability and security to support wealth opportunities.

Long ago I wrote an article about 'shaking up the Grid', which was a similar piece, relating the connection between our energy layers and our lifestyle. If the grid is changed, that is, the current interlocking layers are moved, refreshed, removed and re-instigated with the highest possible energy flow, then our life will be refreshed with healthy new qi flow, and healthy new occurrences will manifest.

Today, think about two things you want to change or need to change, and write down options for making these things change for the better. Two small steps today that you can put into practice for one month.

Carpe Diem (of sorts) for the new year to come.

Blessings

Happy New Year 2016 - what's coming up

Blessing for a beautiful start to the new year for everyone, everywhere. An intention for the new year need not be about you at all...maybe take the pressure off yourself (your Self) and make 2016 a year where you focus on what you can do for other people, places and spaces. Good idea?

The ability to be flexible like this can help you achieve more for yourself in the long run. Giving always means the natural balance is at work, and so you shall receive in some way, always, from giving of your time, energy, money or self. This is SO supported this coming year.

Here's something from the introduction to the Annual Influences Guide 2016 that might explain a little...
It is with great pleasure that I again introduce you to the Ruling Annual Energy Influence for the coming year. 2016 sees Star 2 light up the Centre Palace of our homes, dwellings and workplaces. It is the Mother Influence, related to Earth, and the Trigram ‘Xun’, sometimes related to weakness, it is the  triple Yin line that identifies ultimate flexibility, but also the potential for instability.

The power to create security, peace and prosperity is in your hands

So Star 2, 'Xun', in the Southwest sector, is a very receptive energy. It can lead to a lot of daydreaming (my favourite past-time I must say) and is on the opposite side of the Bagua to the sector of the NE, which is the 'Knowledge & Self Cultivation' / 'Contemplation' life aspect. I love this approach to looking at the Bagua and use it whenever I am performing an assessment of charts for Annual Influences or even buildings. Star 2 will have us reviewing our Connections in all contexts from our personal relationships to our connection with Earth, Heaven and ourselves. 'On the flipside', the Contemplation sector in the NE is hosting the Star 5 of Pure Potential. This energy often gets a very bad wrap, because it often deserves it really, ...but in context everything has it's Yin and Yang expression.

What do I see when I observe the Change Star 5 entering the NE? Well, two things actually.

Firstly, the NE is the natural home of Star 8, so generally, Star 5 energy has to behave quite well in conjunction with this benevolent influence. The natural energy of the NE is strong and stable, still, reliable...so it is going to be very much a balancing, slowing energy for the Annual Influence. However, the Period Star 2 has been in residence in the NE since 2004, and is well and truly ensconced, so it will be ready to link with this new Annual Star 2. If you've studied any Flying Stars Feng Shui then you'll know the alarm bells that go off when we see a 2,5 combination, but take a breath, a deep one, and relax. Both 2 and 5 in conjunction with an 8 will theoretically 'behave'. However, I'm still suggesting we input a Wealth Bringer Bowl in the NE this year as a precaution...

Secondly, the sector of the NE is all about our ability to stop and review. To observe. To take the mental note, the emotional truth and the intangible sixth sense message and interpret them. If we have been having difficulty in processing our innate wisdom, then this year offers us an opportunity to tap into Star 5 and change this. Star 2 has been offering us the connections we need in order to gain a better hold of how we nurture our Self and in what way we cultivate our self-improvement strategies for over 10 years now. It has been an energy in society that has built steadily over the last decade to the point now where 'self-improvement retreat' is as natural as saying 'a weekend away'.

For more feng shui insights using the Flying Stars theory I invite you to purchase the Annual Influences Guide 2016 or, take a look at one for free from the download on the website. They are always full of information that can assist you in navigating the changing energy layers of the year ahead, and help you plan for success and support. Written in plain speaking language with many explanations, you will also find a glossary of elemental balancing ideas at the back of the guide to help you tweak your spaces for maximum harmony. With Kuan Yin, a representation of the feminine Divine, on the cover this year radiating the bright glory of pure nurturing, support and protection.

May your 2016 be filled with abundance, light and beauty!

Many Blessings
Nette

Space Clear for the New Year! and a sneak peek at the Feng Shui of 2016

I'm writing up the very last parts of interpretation for the 2016 Monthly Forecasts over the next couple of days ... here's a snippet from the 'Annual Influences Guide Sector Forecast' for the Centre Palace (or the very central area of your home or business building)...

"Centre ~ The Pure Potential offered by the Earth Star 5 has been calmed by the Period Star 8 bringing a sense of ‘pause & reflect’ to all our lifestyle choices. It has opened up a feeling that life might be better lived at a slower pace in general, and our growing awareness of ‘busyness’ in daily life that sucks away contentment, appreciation and gratitude. In 2016 the Earth Star 2; Mother symbology, the energy of nurturing, connections and relationships; is a harmonious link in this triple Earth Star combination. Very grounding. Very stabilizing, and for those who are in flux it will serve as a portal to Health and Harmony objectives. It has the ability, if tapped into, to transform a scattered life into something that is stable, responsible and calm. With the tremendous upheaval we see in many parts of the world, we can take every action to make our homes into havens, our businesses into vehicles for change, and our Life Experience one of real gratitude for the opportunities that present.

In Flying Stars, the combination of an 8 Star and a 2 Star is interpreted as being good for property or land. It can present opportunities that may consolidate real estate investments, or have stabilizing effects upon real estate matters. Conversely, it can put things into a ‘holding pattern’ as the energy of Star 8 slows things down naturally. Regardless of your personal real estate situation, it is a year to put energy towards beautifying, cleansing and enjoying the landscape that your home and business dwells in. This is where rich rewards come from.

Because we have the underlying energy influence of Star 8 within this combination we are able to utilize supportive Elemental Balancing and give this energy some true ‘gravity’. Add a large statue, or sculpture that is either tangibly heavy and rock-like. If it is cubic or rectangular and in the colours of ochre-yellow to soil brown it will also be elementally supportive. However, no running water, and if ill-health is a recurring issue during February, (particularly take notice of digestive issues) place a Salt Water Cure or other Metal Remedy into this central area of the building. Clear away anything unsightly or neglected and repair anything in this area that is damaged or broken."

Feng Shui New Year is not until the beginning of February 2016 so you have more than a month to prepare your spaces! After this powerful Full Moon just gone, it is a PERFECT time to reboot your living and working spaces with a physical clean out and clean up, cleansing ceremony and invitation for all good things to come your way.

Happy Feng Shui-ing everyone!
Jannette :)

5 things you need to know for 2015 Year of the Earth Goat and the Ambitious Wood Star 3

So what are your plans for the year ahead? Are you dreading the grind of yet another year of obligations to be met and tasks to be completed, or are you enthusiastically getting organised to master a particular aspect of Life?

Whatever your outlook is it will be benefited by a structure to the way you approach each and every month and the spaces that support you each day.

A detailed diagram of the potential energy flow to and from a built structure. Manual 1 - 'Holistic Feng Shui & Energy Layers', Holistic Therapy Connections. You can apply the same techniques and observations to a room or workspace as you would a building.

Holistic Feng Shui uses the oldest concept of feng shui from the authentic study of Flying Stars (Xuan Kong) taken from the 'I Ching' The Book of Changes, alongside complimentary therapies that can be implemented into everyday life, no matter how much or how little you know of feng shui to begin with.  You won't find a lot of trinkets or tassels in Flying Stars Feng Shui, instead you'll be asked to get creative using Form, Colour and Sound to manifest living and working spaces that nourish and support you.

This coming year is sure to be full of ambition and high energy (Wood Star 3), and along with it the contrasting energy of wanting to secure oneself in a life that feels comfortable (Earth Goat). The two frequencies can reside happily beside each other, but normally this pairing can be unbalancing, sort of like a 'push-me-pull-you' sort of situation, where one feels like they are getting stretched in two directions.

Here are five tips from Holistic Feng Shui with Flying Stars to help you navigate the energy layers of the Annual Influences for 2015...

1. Begin the year with a clear idea of what you wish to achieve. If it's personal or business, getting it written down and then making sense of it with a step by step list or table can help you feel in charge of your destiny.  A Vision Board or Dream Gallery is a great idea for inspiration and to keep 'that feeling' on track during the year, but you can also put the more mundane needs in visual format to make quick and easy sense of the path you're taking.

2.  Remove the unnecessary.  Define the purpose of each space and take things that do not belong there into a holding space until you can reorganise your possessions. (of course if you are space strapped then clever options for clearing things into defined areas of one space is great for close spaced living or working)

3.  Know what's on the horizon with careful planning for the best possible energy to support your endeavours. This year you'll want to know which direction to face for the most favourable energy flow and which one to avoid facing to remove potential problems.

4.  Clear up the entrances to your building both inside and out. The area directly at the entrance to your building and directly inside your building is called the Ming Tang. It is symbolic of your invitation to the Universe to bring you 'all good things'. What's your Ming Tang inviting into your building? A Space Clearing Ceremony can make an enormous difference to the way we perceive the support coming from our living or working environment. Old, stale and low level Qi can deplete us just by being in the same layer of energy as it is. Clean. Cleanse and Re-set for maximum High Quality Qi Flow!
(This year concentrate on the WEST and SE to remove potentials for problems. Keep both areas clean and quiet if possible. For Wealth opportunities, love up the NORTH and SW as these Annual Influences will have the potential to manifest abundance in your chosen form of Wealth)

5.  Be realistic with your goal setting. Aim for the sky for sure, I'm all for ambition given a direct path, but care needs to be taken to remain securely anchored in reality. Consider budgeting and seeking the help of an experienced mentor whether you are searching for success in your personal and/or business life.
(This year there is a potential for arguments and arrogance to get in the way of success and peacefullness.)

5 Steps to Streamline your Life Experience

States of Being arrive because of the energy layers we construct and interact with on a daily basis.

When we put effort and energy towards our health it improves, and that has a knock on effect into our living spaces. We are creatures of comfort for sure, be we are also creatures that naturally 'do' streamlining, getting rid of excess stuff because we enjoy it when life flows more smoothly. Today, probably more than ever in our human history, we are asked to carry stress loads that far outweigh our weekly opportunities for relaxation. So what can we do on a daily basis to incorporate more 'relaxing' into our lifestyle, and therefore into our Life Experience? What will 'streamlining' achieve for you and what can you do to get started?

I've written up five logical steps for manifesting a life that is aligned with your desires and needs.

1. Relax your insides (or your outside...this step is interchangeable with step 2)

We all know that 'we are what we eat', and more so now we are aware of Hippocrates famous words "Let food by thy medicine". If good health would make life easier, then are we taking notice of what we consume to promote better health? Today's food and water is contaminated by conventional agriculture chemicals and municipal water processing, so we are under pressure to detoxify even if we 'think' we are getting clean food and water. A simple first step is to look in your pantry and fridge to identify foods with toxic ingredients ... by this I mean an abundance of preservatives, additives, colours, synthetic fragrances and flavours...that kind of thing. A good rule of thumb is, 'if you can't understand the label then what the heck are you doing eating the stuff in the packet!??'.

So, first step for cleaning up your dietary intake is - reduce packaged food consumption. If you sit down to a pre-packaged meal more than twice a week you need to think about quick and pleasing meals you can do 'from scratch'. And that includes bought restaurant dishes. You'd be amazed at the packaged goods most restaurants use as 'freshly prepared meals'.
Eat fresh'er' each day and see/feel/live the difference.

Reduce your stimulants intake...yep, sugar, caffiene etc...energy drinks are not real energy. You'll get more energy from a glass of 'Deep Green' because it goes directly to your bloodstream and will help ferry around oxygen ... making you feel more energetic and bright! Add apple juice, pear juice or some other freshly squeezed real juice to your day in place of a coffee or black tea. Maybe you can start out small with just replacing one stimulant drink for a clean water or juice? Sure you can...

Water. This is a big issue for me. I made a choice to drink spring water instead of tap water years ago while going through a healing crisis. Now I choose to drink filtered water and spring water too. Taking the step to detoxify through several years of just drinking spring water made a big difference in my health and well-being. Spring water levitates through layers of earth to bubble up at a spring...its magical stuff, and you can feel that quality in it after a while. And hey, who doesn't need a little more magic in their life?? A healthy water intake is a healing tool all in itself, helping your body to do natural detoxing without any 'gimmicks'.

Portion control is also key. Eat enough to feel nourished, not bloated or 'stuffed'. As we age we need less food, and certainly less heavy food like carbs, nuts, cheeses and meats. Eat lean and fresh, be lean and fresh ;)

"I love eating foods that are fresh and nourishing for my whole being"

2.  Relax your outside

Our living spaces directly affect our emotional and mental health, so for this reason it is beneficial to take a keen eye over your living space. What does it tell you if the 'landscape' of your home is a story? Overwhelm, immense calm, happy family, or trash heap? This is an important step, and maybe you'll need an honest friend to come on over and tell you exactly 'how it is'. We can be blinded by our familiarity with our living spaces, not seeing the grime or the mess or the clutter.
Remove things that don't belong in that particular space, eg: exercise bikes in bedrooms or lounges, a wall of toys in a loungeroom or home office, household storage in a bedroom or kitchen/dining...that sort of thing. Each space can be assigned a Purpose and Function, then all you need to do is figure out what doesn't align with that purpose or function and remove it. You will be shocked by how much 'stuff' you move out of a room once you get on target with this one.
The purpose of it is to give you a lot less 'visual noise'...also known as 'clutter'. Once you have organised what needs to leave your rooms and perhaps your home, you will find the whole house relaxes, and so will you. (mainly I find this exercise wonderful for knowing 'where things are')
There are certain spaces in every home that you can relax that won't take long, and will make an impact immediately.
- Bedside table
- Vanity bench (bathroom stand)
- 'The Kitchen Drawer' (every home has one of these... and its usually referred to as 'the junk drawer')
- Loungeroom bookcase or cabinet
- The Kitchen workbench (usually a place where far too many things are left out instead of being put away)
- Front door entrance area, inside and out. This is referred to as 'The Mouth of Chi' and is your invitation to the universe to bring you resonant energy into your home...so what message is your front door area giving?)

15 minutes a day is all each space might need. So can you carve out 15 minutes each day this week? Easy.
And of course...here's where you learn that natural cleaning solutions are better for you and your home...

"I love my home and it nourishes my spirit"

3.  Invite Wealth & Abundance

This step is important. You've made changes, you've done some work...so now it's time to really contemplate your future Life Experiences and what they will be. Where do you want to 'be' in a few weeks or months?  Keep a journal for a little while and use it each day or each week to identify what it is that you want to achieve. Some of us want great health or to overcome a health issue. Others might want to attract a special friend or just more friendships. Is it financial ease and abundance you desire/need? Perhaps success and prosperity with a new venture you want to undertake. Get thinking and get writing.
Find your Purpose and get crystal with your intentions for the future.
Planning is everything and this is your time to put your heart's desires down on paper (or canvas or a file or a cork pin board, etc.)
Writing up simple sentences like "I make time to spend with my good friends and family easily", "I find simple solutions to any perceived obstacles I have", "I am now feeling better than I have in years!" and then move on to writing up your plans to achieve these outcomes.

  • If you need to spend more time with family then do up a weekly timetable to show yourself exactly where your time is being spent.
  • If you need to get finances improved write up a budget and find out exactly where your money is being used.
  • If you need to target a health outcome write up a weekly diet to follow that includes all of the things you'll need personally to achieve your goal.

"I now welcome Love, Happiness, Great Health and Peaceful Prosperity into my Life Experience"

4.  Action

So now the time comes to 'do'. This is where your preparation is going to come together with your plans. Magic is about to happen...so roll up your sleeves and smile!
I see that this is often a pre-empted step. Too many setbacks are due to lack of preparation...it is key to manifesting a desired outcome. If you were planning to overcome a health issue but hadn't changed your diet or lifestyle, then your manifestation will have trouble occurring. If you are launching a new business but have done no important financial and logistical planning, your venture is possibly doomed to fail.
You get it?
Action comes from purposeful plans aligned with your main intention.
Action is putting into place the knowledge you have to elicit your desired outcomes.
If you haven't figured out a 'do' list, NOW is the time to get to it done.

"My plans for the future are perfectly aligned with my true Life Purpose"

5.  Expressing Gratitude

As the energy for your new Life Experiences gathered while you were inviting and actioning, the manifestations will occur gradually. Let's face it, you probably took years to get into the lifestyle you were in, so it makes sense that sometimes getting a new lifestyle may be achieved over a longer period of time.

As each event occurs, you can be grateful for the changes, no matter how small. Express gratitude for the steps you've taken, the awareness you now have, the experiences you are having each day whether you can categorise them as 'good' or 'bad'...its all in the perspective. Have you heard of a 'healing crisis'? This is when one part of our Life Experience is in major transition...physical, mental, emotional or spiritual.  Some 'bad' experiences teach us so much in such a short space of time. It's hard to imagine why we need to have unhappy occurrences, but I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. So if I cry tears of sadness or grief I say a silent thankyou for the ability to feel so deeply and to have cared for something or someone as much as I did. I know it is a gift.

As beautiful synchronicity increases, you will be able to see-feel-know that your plans are manifesting into your reality NOW.  This can often be the boost you need, and do be aware of the 'ah-ha' moments increasing to the point that you become almost nonchalant about it ;) People you meet will seem uncannily 'familiar' to you, like you've known them before. These people are usually the ones you might need to spend time speaking with or learning from. Once you begin the alignment of your life to your true love or Life Purpose, the world works for you to achieve your desires. Keep on the look out, be aware, and offer thanks often.

"I am supremely grateful to be experiencing all levels of emotion and perfect connections"

I leave you with a blessing.
"I wish for you easy pathways to new beginnings. I wish for you silent moments of divine reflections. I wish for you happiness, health, prosperity and success in all you do.
Namaste Beautiful People"

Does the way you work, 'work'? Feng Shui for home or corporate offices.

How often have you had a day where, for some unforeseen reason, your method of work had to change, and, magically, things got done and inspirations were found?
I've been assessing the workspaces of myself, my children, and clients for some time now and decided to put together a little collage to present my findings so far...

You may want to download this pic to read it easily
A - Too fast! Rushing. High expectations. Stress.
B - Analysing. Contemplative. Steady. Organised.
C - A Beautiful Mess. Comfortable Chaos. Getting things ‘done’.
D - Simple, easy, efficient. Enjoyment of task. Enjoyment of achieving.
E - The Creative Space. Visual representation of goals. Easygoing schedules. Known objectives.
F -  Low tech. Mind first. Verbal communication. Insights formed from collaboration.

So first up, the spaces weren't always representational of just one element. Quite often I found a duo or trio of collected traits. And there are many styles of course, but here are a few that I repeatedly see and talk to people about. Take a look and see if you can identify the way you work. Then have a think about your success with that style.

  • Do you maintain a steady achievement of goals?

  • Does success eventuate from your endeavours?

  • Are you particularly stuck in an 'obstacle treadmill' or do you find solutions easily?

  • Do you feel exhausted or uplifted by your work/job/tasks?

Once you've established if your work style is suitable for you by assessing your level of success with it, you can then view this collage below with the suggestions for balancing, supporting or remedying those styles using Five Element (Wu Xing) theory.

A - Type A is emulating the energy of Water & Wood Influences. To bring balance & slow down this overwhelming energy bring Fire element into their work spaces, use Brain Spider diagrams (Fire element in shape) to slow down and visually represent their plans and goals.

B - Type B is harnessing Earth Influence and will be supported with Fire and Wood in their environment to bring a steady flow of energy towards their personal energy. Add a little Metal energy to encourage flexibility and to avoid ‘stagnation’.

C - Type C are involved with the Water Influence and respond well to having Metal element energy implemented in their works pace. Metal gives them clean lines and colours to define their irregular working ways and spaces, yet allows for ‘malleability’ and creative urges.

D - Type D is emulating the energy of Metal...decisive, lineal, on purpose. This is best for all kinds of commerce business, and will be reflected in diligence to task. To support Metal give Earth energy like grounding tools (Earthing mats or grounding crystals to wear. Black Tourmaline, Jet, Black Obsidian) And Water element to encourage some spontaneity.

E - Type E is a combination of Earth and Water influences...an irregular yet grounded view of ideas manifesting. The irregular representation of ’boxes of information’. ‘Harness this with the implementation of Metal & Wood elements to create a space filled with Purpose Growth & Progression.

F - Type F is Metal and Fire influences in malleable ideas and explosions of creativity. It is a combination that produces a plethora of plans that might get out of control. Add Earth to the environment via representations of Nature (Mountains, beautiful rocks, stone statues) to ground the energy and encourage the encapsulation of ideas.
Each style will suit different people and different industries better than others. Some of us will never change the way we work because we are happy with the way we do things. For others who are continually struggling with difficulties, the use of Five Element theory can manifest beautiful change and new success strategies.

Blessings
Jannette

Its fantastic and its free to download now

I've made the AIG 2013 Annual Influences Guide and Calender (www.HolisticTherapyConnections.com) a free download so you can check out just what you'd get for you money with the new 2014 AIG&C in the wings, about ready to be released.

Things will be slightly different this year...I'll be offering it as a pdf download only...you can print it out at leisure if you like, but with so many people now reading on tablet devices of one sort or another, it is a shame to waste so much paper when all one really 'uses' of the AIG is the Calender! ;)

I'll attach a 'donate' button to the Articles and Information page of the website and if you can pop something over in recognition for the work produced I'd really very much appreciate it. The AIG&C takes a good four to six months to collate and contains information on Elemental Balancing, Flying Stars Feng Shui and the like that you'd only find from theory notes from a course. Its a great way to familiarise yourself with terms and diagrams that are commonplace with many Flying Stars Feng Shui courses and texts.

The AIG&C is usually retailed at $50ea with the option of attending a gathering. I can't promise a gathering or speaking engagement this year...so many babies, and so much to attend to in the January & February of each year. Although, if I can, the purchasers of the AIG will be notified straight away! The good news!??? the good news is that the AIG will be MUCH more affordable this year because of its digital format :)

Blessings!

How to promote opportunities for WEALTH ...

So its Feng Shui New Year straight after Chinese New Year in 2011! That means we can get preparations completed and great new energy grids set up for you and your property to receive Peace, Health and Prosperity this year :) Great stuff!

What you absolutely need to know this year to promote opportunities for WEALTH:
Clear up and make gorgeous the NW area of your property and building. The Annual Wealth Star 8 is residing in the NW Progression (Travel and Helpful People) sector this year, and will be encouraging wealth opportunities via advice from Mentors, Gurus, Teachers, Good Samaritans, Guardian Angels and the like. The energy of the NW is one of Divine Synchronicity, where you are able to 'tap into' the collective consciousness and find exactly what you need when you need it.

*de-clutter - this promotes the good Chi Flow in all matters of wealth. If you have no 'space' in your physical living or working environment, then the Universe interprets this as meaning you have no room for new energy. When we don't de-clutter we may feel heavy, possibly distracted, and overwhelmed with the care and storage of possessions. Without an outflow there can be no beneficial inflow, only blockage, bloating, stagnation. Remove items that would keep you locked into unhappy memories, past problems or unbeneficial connections.

*clean  - using environmentally conscious cleaning choices, remove dirt, smells, dust, rubbish, etc from the NW. View your work as if it was an invitation to the Universe to come on in with the wealth ideas!

*set an intention/affimation - what do you need in your life? what is your 'wealth' going to be? how would you like wealth to manifest in your life? Set aside some time to identify just what it is you are intending to attract this year to make you feel 'wealthy'. Write up an affirmation and place it in your diary, in a frame for the hallway table, or in an envelope to put into a Wealth Vase.
"I attract spontaneous windfalls of cash in Perfect Ways"
"My business' Prosperity increases every day"
"My family Love and Appreciate me just as I am"
"I invite the beauty of Time for All Things to manifest in my Life"
"I am now receiving Healing on all required levels of my Being"
You will figure out what your 'wealth' is... ;)

*Place a running water feature in the NW for this year, and clean the water regularly. This stimulates Chi Flow and 'activates' the wealth influence.

*Place some reddish coloured gemstones in the NW to support the Annual Wealth Star 8, which is an Earth element and nourished by Fire.

*Place images of things that imbue the space with a feeling of 'Flow'. Waterfalls, Rivers, etc, or icons like Arch Angel Micheal, Ganesha (Remover of Obstacles), Lakshmi, a Cornucopia (horn of prosperity), Golden Buddha, etc that invite in the kind of energy you require to help with your chosen affirmation.

Not sure where I got this image from....if its yours let me know so I can credit you with it :)

Use the Northwest area of your property or building as a place to take breaks, brainstorm with pad and pen, surf the net with a laptop, read, listen to radio programmes, watch TV...etc, any activity where you enable a conduit for messages to reach you...'unexpectedly'. ;)

Feng Shui New Year begins on February 4th 2011. Chinese New Year is on Feb 3rd 2011. In either case, its good to have done a stack of cleaning, tidying and clearing out before these dates. Clean the front door area too so that your property says 'hello! and Happy New Year' with the best possible appearance :))

You might find this post called 'New Year Feng Shui' helpful if you need a few more tips for New Year preparations. And you can find out all about the energy layers for 2011 in the Annual Influences Guide and Calendar available only from Holistic Therapy Connections.

Blessings for Peace, Health and Prosperity :)

Space Clearing - A Ceremony Guide

So. Once you've gotten through the tasks of cleaning, de-cluttering, sorting and storing, you can turn your focus to the more pleasant side of Space Clearing.

A Space Clearing Ceremony can be achieved in a few hours and you will reap the benefits for weeks or months.

To find ‘dead spots’ in the house where energy is very ‘flat’ or ‘dull’ (ie: NOT sparkly and gorgeous) walk around and slowly ring a small bell, or clap your hands. If the reaction is ‘resounding’ then the energy is high level, but if the resonance is barely there, then you’ve found an area to concentrate on during the Space Clearing Ceremony.

On the day you’ve chosen to do the Space Clearing (preferably just before New Moon sometime) put aside around an hour or two to complete a full Ceremony.

· Open the windows and doors, sweep the areas outside your doorways, and take the garbage bins to the kerb. Make sure your internal bins in the office, bathrooms and kitchen are cleaned out too. Take off your shoes and jewellery, drink clean water, take the phone off the hook and turn off your mobile.

· Light a candle or some incense to begin your ceremony and begin by asking for beautiful energy to light your way and assist your cleansing, as well as that of the home or building.

· Travel a set course through the house, slowly ringing your bell, or clapping your hands (whichever method you like best) to stimulate and clear the energy allowing it to flow onwards.

· You may like to repeat your pathway until you hear the resonance you feel happy about. Sometimes its helpful to use two or three kinds of clearing to get high quality results, eg: once around the pathway clapping or ringing the bell, secondly using incense or a smudge stick, and thirdly using a Mantra or Affirmation to instil a specific energy into each room. Reiki can be utilised this way...

· When you finish, say a blessing or a prayer, or just ‘thankyou’ to the energy that has been brought into your spaces. It is a great time to firmly set a positive intention for the year such as ‘I now invite Beautiful Clarity into all areas of my Life’, or ‘I am now inviting Bright New Prosperous Energy into my Home’. You’ll figure out what you need … ;]

Leave the house open for as long as you can, and drink plenty of clean, pure water to re-establish your own energy. Sit quietly with the arrival of new frequencies into your spaces. You might find it an inspirational time and use it to paint, read or write...or just bunk off and go meditate in the garden.

Planning a Space Clearing is a great way of starting the new year off by establishing your intentions, plans, hopes and dreams.  Take the time over the next couple of weeks to observe what makes your life 'rich' and what may be sapping your resources. Whatever nourishes you best is what you should focus upon to generate that sense of Abundance and Beauty in your Life now.

Blessings for a Wonder Filled 2011

Space Clearing - Preparation

We all know that old saying “out with the old and in with the new!”, and we know how GOOD it feels when we clear out and clean up our homes and/or businesses. Just getting the car into a clean and tidy state can bring about a massive shift in the way you get through your week! Its that energy of sparkly and shiny, clean and tidy that makes us feel ‘accomplished’ and organised and we’ll find it easier to get our tasks done and fulfil our obligations if we can just put our hands onto exactly what we need when we need it.

It’s a simple equation…

Energy Received > Energy Spent = High Level Energy

(if energy received from tasks is more than energy spent doing it, we will find we have energy ‘reserves’)

To begin, do a basic ‘clean up and sort out’, so you can see the floor, and the benchtops too. Organise your ‘clean up’ to take a full week on the last week of the Waning Moon, just before the dark of the moon or New Moon. This is when energy is ‘on the way out’, and our planetary energy frequencies are reducing, so it supports your efforts to move things out of your spaces.

· Do clean the insides of cupboards, pantries and the linen press.

· Do clean curtains and windows last.

· Do clean carpets as they ‘suck in’ a fair bit of residual energy. This can be done simply using a shaking of Bi-carbonate of Soda mixed with a cleansing oil like Lavender, Sage or Frankincense. (1cup of bi-carb : 5 drops of essential oil, use a ’shaker’ to evenly spread the powder over your carpets) Leave the powder on the carpet for a few hours and then vacuum up well. The sparkliness of the energy will amaze you when you do this for the first time, and it is an easy chore to repeat each month. Bi-carb Soda naturally likes to suck up oils and other residues, and is an odour eliminator too!

· Do throw out things you hate, don't use, don't like, are broken, or unrepairable, won't wear or things that hold unhappy memories of an unhelpful kind. Recycle them or donate them.
(parts of this are taken from the Annual Influences Guide 2011 available from www.HolisticTherapyConnections.com)

This is the 'practical' side of things to do before you embark upon the more energetic task of a Space Clearing...however just doing this practical de-cluttering and cleaning may activate a lot of subconscious associations with the possessions you are choosing to remove, relocate, store or re-use again. Our memories and emotions are intertwined with these things, we've used them in our Life, and they are connected to events, occasions or everyday living, so its only natural that these will bring messages to us for deciphering. Don't go into overwhelm...have a bit of Rescue Remedy or Emergency Essence on hand during this kind of work, and take breaks regularly. I recommend a week or more to do the preparation for a Space Clearing.

This January 4th is New Moon or Dark Moon, when the Earth's energy is at low ebb, and will begin to climb until the 18th when at Full Moon our frequencies are on high. The optimum time for Space Clearing preparation before the start of the Feng Shui New Year on February 4th is between the 20th January and the 2nd February. This then gives you a big window to work with.

Decluttering for Health

Hello and welcome to the downhill run from the Full Moon.
During this time you can really get stuck into a heap of detoxing for your home, body and Mind too. Your thoughts are connected with the quality of energy in your home, and that in turn affects the health of your body...
By allowing what is a purely natural process of 'waste removal' to occur, you open up pathways for fresh new energy to come in.

May I be just as quick with my forgiveness
As I am with mop and broom,
Sweeping up the clutter
In my heart and living room.

Detoxing Your Home
This should be a monthly (at least) 'thing' you schedule in because our homes are constantly receiving energy in the form of visits from people, purchases of items and even the weekly groceries, and the thoughts, feelings, conversations and actions from the occupants.

Detoxing your home begins with a general tidy up and chuck out session, so you can see table surfaces, so that the shelves don't have things like books, bills and correspondence 'pidgeon holed' in them for later attention etc, and so that the staircase or hallway is completely clear. Sweep up around outside each major entrance and exit way, and light some incense to purify the air. A short few hours here and there over a couple of days can achieve a wonderful reward! Don't try and get it done in a madrush, or you will end up feeling exhausted and overworked.

Maintenance of your living areas needs to be conducted in a loving and attentive way so that you imbue this into the spaces that provide you with shelter and protection.

Detoxing Your Body
This can be done by simply removing things that you know clog your system up. Leave off the bread and pasta and rice for a few days. Alternatively you can include some room temperature foods instead of cooked meals like... brown rice (steamed and cooled), salad vegetables, cultured veges, and home-made dips like hommus, to give your digestive system a great cleanse. Enjoy a feast of fruits as a sweet treat.

But the most important of all is to drink a more than usual amount of pure water. The quality of the water you drink is extremely important, and the better quality water you can obtain the better. I love to use pure spring water like Grail Haven, but the best water is a local spring water, and if you can't get that then use a brand that is 'purified water', as it will hydrate your cells more efficiently. To increase hydration take in some good quality rock or sea salt each day. (the recent post on my Real Breakfast Smoothie shows how you can do this without even having to taste it!) Celtic Sea Salt attracts water and it literally enables each cell to get a stack of minerals as well as absorb more water. With your cells pumped up with water and minerals you will feel more energised! Yippee!

Detoxing Your Mind
Don't let this area of detoxing be neglected, because all it takes is a little wind down of energy, a little quietness, and a little reflection. I do like LAZY and SIMPLE ways to get anything done because (a) I'm a busy mum with two businesses, (b) three children and a partner, (c) I belong to a big family and (d) I have lovely friends who I love to make time for...so I need to organise ME time efficiently. I do a Mind detox in two ways regularly.

Salt and Aromatherapy Bath - at least once a week if I can manage it. I love to use Rock Salt and Epsom Salts, and even a little BiCarbSoda to soften up the water and leave my skin soft. The salt is very purifying and I usually use a little Lavender and Geranium essential oils (about 10 drops in a big bath) to soothe and improve my heart energy. Geranium can lift the spirits after a heavy week of 'giving' energy to others.

Earthwalking is a big big big (BIG) favourite thing I do. Taking my slippers off in the morning and padding around on the wet grass outside allows a blast of negative ions to move up through the whole body, easing and soothing the nervous system, balancing my personal frequency. Its all good.
www.heywoodsmeadow.com

So with the natural energy of our planet all geared up NOW to help you detox and remove what no longer supports your best health, get into a little detoxing and 'declutter' for good health in home, body and Mind :)

Fixing 'negative qi' at your front door...

Feng Shui has lots of rules and regulations doesn't it? :) And while some of it is chucklesome, some of it profound, a LOT of it is unnecessarily rigid in its 'dos' and 'donts' to the point that it drives a lot of people away, shaking their heads at the inaccessible meaning of it all...
The rules about your Front Door, Entrance or Mouth of Chi, seem endless!
Curved pathways, no pointy fences, no tapered shrubs, have certain things on the left, some things on the right..Green Dragons, White Tigers, and Red Birds...what are they on about? And there IS that fear issue when there is so much talk about 'bad luck' and 'negative qi' in a lot of the literature relating to Feng Shui. Another way of saying 'negative qi' is to say 'unbeneficial' or 'unfavourable', even 'unwanted' energy. So lets just keep to the basics and see what's needed...

Classical Feng Shui is the use of theories derived from the I Ching, The Book of Changes, which is an ancient text used not only as the fundamental for Feng Shui studies, but also for Chinese Medicine too. This is because it describes the 'types of energy' using the Trigrams (three lined drawings to 'describe' a kind of energy), and uses the Five Element Theory, which is used to balance and bring harmony to energy in any space or form. The Five Elements are, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water and Wood. (I would also like to describe them as Initiation, Consolidation, Manipulation, Confluence and Growth respectively, but that's my interpretation of them....)

When you think of your Front Door, you should be considering it as the invitation you are sending out to the Universe or World. Naturally you want it to bring you the best possible energy right? So what is your front door inviting to your house? Five Element Theory can be easily implemented at the front door along with some Classical Feng Shui principles, to align your intention with your invitation to the World.

First of all start with clearing the area of anything that is ugly, sharp, smelly, broken, dangerous etc...yes, anything that is unbeneficial, unfavourable or unwanted...get rid of any possible sources of 'negative qi' ;)
Things like brooms, stinky mops and buckets, filthy shoes, grubby doormats, dead potplants, broken steps or paving that is dangerous to walk on, are just some examples of what would be called a 'Sha' energy in Classical Feng Shui. Sha basically means 'low level' or 'unbeneficial' energy. Cut back vines that can 'grab' at your visitors, and move harsh spikey plants away from the doorway if possible to remove 'pointy' energy, or the physical problem of people actually being scratched by them on the way to your door.

Then you need to follow a few guidelines of Five Element Theory to balance the overall Energy Signature of this space. You'll need to step back and observe the architecture of the area first.

Is it an open space or an enclosed space?
This will enable you to make a choice regarding colours and more...ie: do you need bright colours, more lighting, or, do you need to make some shade here, and use subdued hues...

What is the overall Element combination here?
Fire is triangular, pyramid and red, Earth is rectangular, cubic and earthy tones, Metal is circular, globular and all metallic colours as well as white, Water is wavy, irregular and dark blues or black, and finally Wood is tall, cylindrical, and all light greens, deep greens and pale blues (like a pale blue Springtime sky).
Observe the structure and identify the dominating element/s. Is it all rectangles and earthy tones of brown and beige? or have you got an abundance of woody feeling textures and colours; tall, cylindrical shapes and shades of light green from planting or paintwork....

You get the idea,...observe what Element of the five is most present, or what combination of Elements is dominating this area. Then you can choose some decorations, plants, or colours (for a doormat or paintwork) that you could implement in this area to bring about a balance of the whole five elements and create a harmonious relationship of the Elemental energies.

There is no need to use any trinkets, tassels or icons unless you want to. These things are above and beyond the necessary Elemental Balancing :) If an icon or statue resonates with you eg: an angel, a fairy, a goddess, or a Buddha, then place it at your door, because it will make YOU feel good when you walk towards it :)

If you'd like to have some more information about how to use Elemental Balancing for your front door area, and your whole home, please have a look at the Home Chi consultation offered at www.HolisticTherapyConnections.com, and contact me to make an appointment.

Sound Healing

This is one of my most favourite sound healing CD's :)

I know that Sound Therapy works wonders, and I expect all of you do too. The essence of a captured note within the neural pathways is what can aid healing in various aspects of our existence.

But what about healing our environment with Sound? If you've ever done a Space Clearing Ceremony, and intoned a note to 'clear' the energy, rang a bell, banged a gong or jangled some bells along the way to disperse unwelcome vibrations and 're-set' them, then well, you know what I mean. Sound affects our environment. February 14, 2010, is World Sound Healing Day, hosted by Jonathan Goldman, a Master at Sound Healing and the composer of many beautiful healing works using sound.

All the details are on this link here, so give it a go, and you may find that the vibrational energy of your space alters for the better. You will also be a part of a global net of sound healing on that day, so its a pretty special thing to be involved in.

Systems of Organisation

Organisation does not have to be a chore. It can be used as a system to help you achieve more clarity and peace. It also assists you in finding focus easily. When you know what needs to be done, and can efficiently carry out tasks, you'll find that 'things' get done witout stress, or loss of energy.

'Systems of Organisation' are part of my Holistic Feng Shui approach to promoting good quality energy in any space. I use Systems of Organisation in Mind, Body and Home and my business too!

Very helpful when one works from home with distractions aplenty and the illusion of time in great quantities....but thats another post altogether :)

If you percieve Time as your helper instead of something to be feared, you'll find you have all the Time you need. I also use a few affirmations like...

' I know I will complete this task in Perfect Timing '
' I am capable of accomplishing everything I need to do today '
' I will ask for help to achieve my goals '

** that last one is the biggy in case you hadn't guessed! **

Many Blessings
Jannette
