Its been quite some time now that I’ve been considering that the HFSM was broader than the label of ‘fengshui’ and so with this in mind, and looking at my business name too, it seemed only natural to bring the two into alignment.

The Holistic Therapy Connections MiniZine is a publication dedicated to my personal passions of natural and alternative treatments, lifestyle choices and ways of Being. It is also a place where you can gather information about therapies you may or may not have heard of before, or find out about a business you may like to contact.

When I began my business, there was very little advertising I could afford to stretch too. $400 quarter pages were beyond my start up budget, and I wondered “is there a resource out there for people like me?”. I didn’t find it...but I began to see the gap that I might try to fill. It is still a bit of an issue this advertising lark. Who reads the free pages classifieds? Where is the best place to put my money? Can I be sure I’m expressing myself to the ‘right’ audience?

All these things were questions I asked, and still ask myself. I fumbled with community advertising, and fell flat on my face. I subscribed to some internet pages, and have contradicting reactions to the responses from each source. What became glaringly apparent was that the people I was attracted were drawn to the Holistic Approach, and interested in the way I presented feng shui material and energy flow concepts. This was the propelling force behind a humble newsletter that was born about 4 years ago. It kind of grew, and is now the MiniZine.
Without the support of the readers and contributors, I can honestly say I would find it hard to believe that the HFSM would have continued. And so now, as the name changes and I align towards a goal I can only ‘feel’ at the present, I am launching an opportunity to for you to become a part of the future HTCM.
