Tuning into Love - 016 'Communing with Plants'

I've been so busy lately doing lots of things for the Annual Influences Guide 2011, working with another writer to prepare his manuscript, formatting and editing...all this communication to and from the ethers, and other people, with thoughts and feelings and words too, written and spoken...that to be honest, I'd felt a little 'spent'. It reminded me of how I'm getting through all of this, and its simply be reconnecting to Nature each day. One of my favourite and I feel 'most special' ways of connecting with Nature is to commune with the plants...any plant will do, I'm not terribly fussy at all.

In a recent email to one of my sisters I wrote to her about how I find certain plants communicate differently, and she wrote back excitedly saying "How long have you known how to do this with plants!?" and me thinking (yes, naive, of course) 'Doesn't everybody do this?'. So yes. I know that plants communicate differently.

Angelina Petal singing to the plants along the pathway...she often stops for 'no apparent reason' to talk to a plant or a flower. Somehow I think she knows how to talk to plants too...and probably receive the messages back as well! :)

Some are very 'vocal', that is they like sound waves, and appreciate us speaking out loud to them (tomatoes, beans, sweetpeas, Banksia, etc). Some are more Scorpionic and appreciate the sweet soft shadowy feeling of telepathic speaking...softly again of course.(Holy Basil, Lettuce, Bamboo, Wattle and Eucalyptus) Others need a quick-step kind of 'here are my thoughts NOW' telepathy (very 'efficient' plants these ones, like Rosemary...she just likes you to tell her what it is you need...and of course Thyme, like a devout secretary, just taking the notes and getting you what you need...). Some are tactile, and appreciate the physical connection so they can bring physical/emotional/mental/spiritual aspects as an 'all in one package' of message (Oak, Grasses, Cherry, Ghost Gum, Clover). Some special plants just want Heart energy, they want to know your feelings, but just by you feeling them yourself; they'll pick up and decipher your vibration and return what you need, or mirror you if the vibration is 'high'. Rose is like this and Geranium too...however Geranium is vastly 'brighter' in personality, where as Rose is like a brain surgeon, very precise and delicate.

This may explain a few things:
I've always loved Ivy (or most vines actually) because of its ability to be both soft and caressing (like the tendrils it grows to hook onto just about any surface) and conversely because its strong and vigorous, like the growth spurts it has, its endurance in seemingly 'harsh' circumstances where it is probably the most beautiful thing growing. Its also a great 'thinker' plant. The curly tendrils remind me of Thoughts, quietly and softly finding their way through the myriad of nerve endings, delivering information here and there...The 'mass' of plant that grows like Memory, the conglomerate recollection of 'life so far', and all that it holds, and has potential for. The slightest breeze can set the whole thing shivering and responding.

This connection reminds me that there are messages and information available to me in many forms, and to not lose sight of the vast array of solutions just waiting to be discovered. All I have to do is communicate.

If you could tell me what your favourite plant is, what would you say you 'get' from having that plant around you or being near it? Other than the visual appreciation of it or its aroma...what is its Energy Signature? HOW does it make you FEEL? :)

Forecast for November 2010

There are some 'very interesting things' happening energetically this November, as the Star 8 helps out in two areas to calm and harmonize both the Star 2 and 5, that may help us enjoy a majority 'respite' from these potentially problematic influences. (see the bottom of the page for information about the upcoming release of the AIG 2011)

Centre - 8,2 can bring a calm and receptive vibe to buildings where the centre areas are open and spacious. Centre represents our own Stability in Life and our sense of Groundedness. This combination can indicate helpful situations if you are involved in a property purchase or renovation. (Wealth influence with Accumulation influence both associated with Earth) Star 2 is the Mother persona and an Earth element, just like Star 8 which is also the Angel of Wealth and Happiness....so its a good combination for Mother Earth.
Tip: Place a symbolic representation of Mother Earth, or place an earth coloured rug (or other soft furnishing item) in this area.

SW - 5,8 helps to calm the problematic 5 Star that may have been bringing unwanted change or confusion into our Communications this year. It is the Relationships area of the Bagua, so its a welcome relief for anyone who has been sleeping in the SW or who has a busy doorway in the SW.
Tip: A sweetly chiming clock, or soft, pleasant piano music in this area this month will still help to soothe the Star 5 but invite in the beautiful Star 8 energy.

West - The Creative West gets a boost of Passionate Inspiration from the 1,4 influences! Star 1 invites Ideas, Expression and Wisdom while Star 4 works on bringing your Passions to the surface, be they Romantic or Academic.
Tip: Use a floatbowl filled with pale fire coloured candles or flowers, or both.

NW - 9,3 is the kind of influence that can bring intensive Clarity to any situations that surround Commerce. Star 9 is the Future Wealth Star, and associated with Clarity and Beauty, while Star 3 is the Competitive influence. The great thing about this combo is that they energetically match as Star 9's Fire is 'fed' by the Star 3 Wood. Nice...
Tip: Use up this Star 3 influence (most probably arriving as ambitious thoughts, plans etc) by having a pad and pen in the NW Progression area to write down immediately those grand ideas that pop in throughout the month!

North - 4,7 comes to activate that expression of Passion via speech. You may find yourself clapping on about all the things you love so much, and if it happily involves your work or Vocation, then this may be a good thing. Naturally, the Metal energy of Star 7 will dominate or 'attack' the Wood energy of Star 4, so be aware of 'too much talk' wasting time and energy that could be directed beneficially.
Remedy: Use Water in Shape and Colour to distract the Metal Star 7 (as it naturally wants to nourish Water and will be weakened with this elemental balancing), and also use beautiful symbolism of your true Passions to align with the highest vibration of Star 4.

South - 3,6 and here is the same kind of combination with a Metal energy (Star 6) dominating a Wood energy (Star 3). It indicates Competition controlled by Authority, and as it is manifesting in the Reputation/Perception sector it can mean a month where it is best to be observant, diplomatic and obedient towards those in 'higher places'. As Star 3 is also associated with all things contractual it is a good idea to re-check paperwork that is being submitted to an Authority figures or units. Railing against Authority this month will possibly wreck the way someone perceives you, and so your perception of the situation must be balanced and crystal clear.
Tip: Wear or carry some Clear Quartz this month especially if your office or house front door is in the South. Keep any ambitious plans in the planning stage and don't implement anything too competitive this month. You'd just be sailing into the wind, so conserve energy, and move when the influences favour success...

SE - 7,1 is an influence traditionally known as 'Animal Bites' :)) The association is with Star 1's Danger aspect, and that Star 7 is related to the Teeth and Mouth...therefore 'dangerous teeth' which is in most cases animal bites or stings. I've had a fair few funny observations with this particular influence so do be careful ;) It can't be underestimated that this is manifesting in the SE Growth/Wealth and Abundance area. Be Alert regarding scams that may drain your time, energy and money.On a flipside, Star 1 is of course the Wisdom and Ideas influence teaming up with the Star 7's chatty energy. Its a great combination for divination, oracle cards, metaphysical conversations of all sorts and generally that 'bubble' of unexpected wisdom popping into a conversation...usually involving a young child.
Tip: Allow conversations to 'run', and remain calm when you feel uncomfortable about any particular subject topic. Call in Angelic help (Star 1 is The Angel of Sheng Chi after all) and be open to hearing Wisdom from an unexpected source.

East - 9,6 combination will bring in some Beauty to Family and Health issues this month. A breakthrough regarding a health condition? Some Clarity about a contentious situation in the family? This is the area of Preparation and this year we've been hosting the Authority and Leadership Star 6 here. With the visiting Star 9 offering some beautiful 'future thought' energy this month it is an opportunity to align the sector's energy of 'starting' and preparing.
Tip: 'Begin Anew' might be a good thought path to hold, or the affirmation 'I begin a new path of life with Clear intentions' throughout the month.

NE - 5,2 may see the Contemplation sector being distracted by conflicting thoughts or pesky arguments. Keep this area très quiet this month. Find another place to meditate (I'd pick the Centre) and if problems arise with a course or a subject you're studying, see if you can back off and reschedule with immense grace. Don't be difficult with your Self either. This sector is all about our 'inner knowing' so there may be a tendency to second guess or doubt you intuition... take a step back, stop and rest and review.
Remedy: Lots of Metal representation. Sound, Shape and Colour. Piano, Metal Wind Chimes, Chiming Clock, Gongs, Bells on doorknobs, Rounded - Curved - Globular - Fecund objects in Gold, Silver, White, Pearlescence and Iridescence. (Dragon Wings and Mother of Pearl) Remove objects that are overtly Fire, and limit the use of this area if at all possible.
