Raw Ferments and my story

I have had Candida infections since I was a child. I know this now because I look back on the symptoms and see what they were, but never diagnosed as. Back then, when I was a child, everyone had lollies, and cakes and things. That's what children ate. Up until relatively recently in my own life I believed that sugar just went in as 'quick energy' and children would 'run it off', but that's just not the case. Sugar feeds yeast bacteria, that's why you add it to a sourdough starter, or a beer wort...it gets the yeast ecstatic about LIFE and it goes nuts!

No one ate raw ferments in my family. NO ONE. I don't even remember extended ethnic members of my family eating raw fermented foods...yet it is one of the foods that allowed humans to survive and thrive. So why aren't they in our diets more now? Makes you wonder. The pallet of modern humans is not tuned into 'sour' very often. Seems we spend most of our eating experience with 'sweet', 'savoury', 'creamy', 'spicy' and others, completely leaving our 'sour'. I've tuned back into experiencing the *Zzzzzing!* of sour with my fermentation experimentations.

I've had to get re-educated regarding foods, and types of foods that are 'good for me', ie: less or no sugar and more live, raw, fresh and fermented foods,... and that is why there is always a fermented food portion in my smoothies to bring that all important 'good bacteria' quotient into my intake.
Straining the 'first set' of Kefir grains through muslin over a metal seive. This Kefir is made on whole organic milk and produces a fizzy, zesty, tangy, creamy drink that does not smell like off milk at all. It is also packed with essentials for good health and 'beyond'! Best of all, if you re-ferment the solids of the milk, you can make your own Quark :) Its like a tangy cottage cheese...great with Avocado and fermented Carrots...really, really yummy.... You can also use Kefir topically, that is, applying it directly to skin irritations. It cools and heals in minutes.

Quick, cheap, safe ways to include crunchy, zesty, beneficial fermented foods into your diet this week if you want...The benefits are astounding especially if, like me, you are suffering or 'dealing with' Candida infection, have skin irritations, food allergies and the like. Simply by accessing the right kind of natural fermented foods can rebalance your digestive system and take back your Health!

Tuning into Love 027 - 11 Seconds of Silence

Our lives seem to be getting busier and busier. How do we make time for our Self? You know, that person who lives within you, supporting all your conscious thoughts, waiting for dreamtime so they can come out and play?

What about giving that person a little respect and assistance to help YOU out during the rush and pull of everyday life? :)

11 seconds of silence is something I've been tuning into regularly to avoid the slope downwards into distress, frustration or 'losing it'. Its simple.

Move away from what you are doing.
It could be the computer. It might be looking after children or someone you care for. It might be getting angry at an inanimate object for not working properly (I do this with kitchen utensils all the time...sad, but true) or at a telemarketer who repeatedly won't take the hint and stop talking....whatever it is, leave it alone, put it down, wait until you can move away peacefully, whatever....just get to your own space.

Begin with a breath in. Release. Again. Release.

In your Mind visualise the numeral 1. Allow it to glow, give it blossoms, or lights, or symbols. Enjoy what you see behind your eyes.
Move to the numeral 2, and give it the same treatment.
Again, on to the numeral 3, and so on. Go all the way to 11 and stop.
Breath again. And Release. Breathe Again. And Release.

Relationships in a Time of Change

Its amazing that the turn into what I know as Star 8 Period (2004 - 2024) was so life changing for virtually everyone. Star 8 is The Angel of Wealth and Happiness, but also a reflective and solidifying energy influence, and it encourages Contemplation of all kinds. I feel this layer of energy descending on the planet had many outcomes, but two distinct ones seem to be people who heartily embraced it with gusto, and those who felt irritated by the 'slow down' message it has.

Relationships and Connections
of all kinds went into a state of flux at this point too. Star 5 (open change, uncomfortable change, raw potential) moved into the Relationships sector in 2004 as well...our roles as partners are being redefined, and its difficult if we aren't flexible. The idea of flowing with it is what I'd encourage for both parties, but also very open and gentle and loving communication. Adults can respect each other and speak as adults with feeling and compassion.

It is the South West of the property, so I am encouraging everyone who is in a relationship to clear up the SW, make it 'perfect' as possible. love it. spend time together there doing things...even if that is just having morning tea or afternoon drinks...whatever. Burn some White Sage now and again and even put in a herb or two to heighten the earth energy of the area.
